 The public may be excluded from Council and Committee meetings when confidential information is to be received, discussed or considered at a meeting.

Documents associated with the item may also be kept confidential.

To do this the Council or Committee must apply for an Order giving the

  • reason for the Order
  • its duration or
  • when it will no longer apply or
  • when it will be reviewed.

An Order made for longer than 12 months must be reviewed at least once every year.
