Bridging the barriers to digital inclusion by providing essential equipment and access to online services in your own home. Our brand-new program has been designed to help you build digital skills, giving you the confidence to explore online resources, interact with social networks, or complete your online shopping or banking in a safe and secure way.
The Hamra Centre Library is offering eligible customers to be part of a digital inclusion project 'Connect with Tech', which will provide you with access to a Microsoft Surface Go laptop and basic internet plan to use for personal or educational purposes until November 2023. The aim is to provide customers with technology and internet access they may not be able to currently access at home.
How to apply
Applicants must be residents of West Torrens, library members (or willing to sign up), South Australian residents for the past 5 years, and low income. Preference will be given to those who have a barrier to technology (such as financial or skill barriers).
Hardcopy forms are also available from the Hamra Centre Library.
Applications open 10am Wednesday 22nd February. Applications can be made online or via hardcopy, handed in to desk staff at the Hamra Centre Library (blank hardcopy forms available from the library). All submissions must be completed and received no later than midday Tuesday 28th March.
Before preparing and submitting your application, please refer to the Connect with Tech guidelines.
If you wish to speak with someone regarding your application, please contact Ashleigh Paul, Library Officer - Digital Literacy on 8416 6268.
