Events and Festival Grants aim to support community groups with their multicultural, sporting, community, music and cultural events and festivals.
Funding is allocated based on the anticipated number of attendees and event quotes provided:
- 50 to 500 attendees: eligible for up to $2,500 in funding, with quotes required for expenses up to $5,000.
- 500 to 1,000 attendees: eligible for up to $5,000 in funding, with quotes required for costs ranging from $5,000 and $30,000.
- More than 1,000 attendees: up to $7,500 in funding, withy quotes required for costs exceeding $30,000.
To ensure equity for all applications, there will be 2 rounds of the Festivals and Events Grants:
- Round 1 will commence on 1 July and conclude on 15 August.
- Round 2 will commence on 1 January and conclude on 15 February.
Applications submitted outside these periods will not be accepted. All applications received during a round will be assessed collectively after the closing date. Funding is limited, and applications will be considered until the allocated funds for that round are fully expended. Once the funding limit is reached, no further applications will be accepted until the next grant round.
All Festival and Events Grant applications will be evaluated against the Guidelines for City of West Torrens Festival and Events Grants. We strongly recommend reviewing the revised guidelines before submitting your application.
Following assessment, applications will be presented to the Council for final approval.
