Mosaic Bird Stobie Pole workshops
Next date: Wednesday, 09 July 2025 | 01:00 PM
to 03:00 PM
Over 2 workshops, talented community artist Mignon Clift will share her skills and teach you how to design and create a beautiful mosaic bird to be installed onto a Stobie pole in your street. Not only will this create more colour and art for our local streets, but you'll be given the opportunity to learn new skills and maybe make new connections with your neighbours.
You must be available for both sessions and you must also have prior approval from SA Power Networks (see below).
How to register
To register for the Mosaic Bird Stobie Pole workshops you will first need to apply to SA Power Networks to check if the Stobie pole where your finished work is to be displayed is available. You can do this by completing the SA Power Network Pole Painting Application Form.
The form requires your name, phone number, email, number of poles (only one for this project), location of the Stobie pole, photo - full height from top to bottom of the pole - and a description of what you intend to do (in this instance, mosaic bird).
Once you have your completed permission form from SA Power Networks, complete the Mosaic Bird Stobie Pole workshops application form, which will require you to upload your permission letter from SA Power Networks.
Conditions
- Workshops are available to West Torrens residents only.
- Participants must be 18 years or older.
- You must be able to attend both workshops.
- All resulting Stobie pole mosaic birds will be photographed and included on the West Torrens Stobie Pole Art Gallery for others to enjoy.
This is part of our Wellbeing Wednesdays program and, as such, is a joint project between council and Preventive Health SA.
