Are you a Registered Justice of the Peace with a commitment for supporting the community? Would you like to do so in a vibrant and busy library environment?

Our Justices of the Peace provide a regular service in accordance with legislation and key documents provided by the Attorney General’s Department.

To apply for this role you will need:

knowledge and understanding of your obligations and responsibilities under the Justices of the Peace Act 2005, and the Justices of the Peace Regulations 2021.
strong customer service skills
strong communication skills
cultural awareness

You will also need to either have, or complete:

National Police Clearance.
Working with Children screening check.
Current Justice of the Peace registration.
*Current membership of the Royal Association of Justices of South Australia Inc. (RAJSA Inc.), and commitment to undertake training and development offered by this Association.

Some certificates and training can be provided by the City of West Torrens at no cost to the volunteer.

*Royal Association of Justices of South Australia Inc. costs are not covered by the City of West Torrens.
