How do I sign up?

Step 1.View our vacancies and programs

Visit our Volunteer Vacancies & Programs Listing for current opportunities and program information.

Step 2.Apply or register your interest

When you apply online you will create a profile and either apply for a specific role or register a general expression of interest.

Step 3.Volunteer meeting

Once you have completed and submitted your registration our Volunteers Program Officer will be in contact to invite you to an in-person meeting.

Step 4.Pre-placement checks

We will perform the required government screening checks and reference checks prior to placement.

Screening volunteers is an important step in the recruitment process and may include reference checks as well as the formal background checks provided by a Police Check and or a Working with Children (WWC) Check.

Step 5.Volunteering

The Council will support you in your role and provide opportunities for training and feedback.

You will also be recognised for your service and achievements through the Mayor's Volunteer Christmas Dinner, Volunteers Week Celebrations and Volunteer Service Milestones.
