Details
Are you a reliable and organised person who would enjoy focusing on ensuring that the books in the Children’s Library are all in the right collection so parents and children can find the books they are looking for?
Our Children’s Library is quite popular and children sometimes re-shelve the books in the wrong spaces. Therefore the Children’s Library needs volunteers to check over multiple collections for misplaced items and return to correct positions as well as to remove any litter found around the children’s area.
If you are a friendly person with a keen eye for detail who would love to help look over multiple collections within the Children’s Area, contact us about this role!
To apply for this role you will need:
- Ability to work alone
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic level of fitness to work with collections kept at children’s height
You will also need to either have, or complete:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children check
- Manual Handling certificate
- Safe Environments: Through Their eyes Training
All certificates and training can be provided by the City of West Torrens at no cost to the volunteer.
