About the space

The Cowandilla Community Room is a vibrant and welcoming arts hub, known for its role in celebrated events like the Adelaide Fringe and SALA Festival. With a rich calendar of exhibitions, workshops, and creative programs, it's a dynamic space embraced by both local residents and the wider arts community.

Host your own exhibition

We invite artists to apply for the opportunity to host their own exhibition in this ready-to-use space. As a free, self-managed hire, this space offers you the freedom and flexibility to shape your own gallery experience—from curating the exhibition to setting your opening hours and engaging directly with your audience.

A space for independent artists

Please note that the gallery operates as a private hire space, meaning you’ll be opening, closing, and managing your exhibition during your chosen hours. This hands-on model is ideal for artists looking to independently run an exhibition in a supportive, well-recognised venue.

Exhibition program

Cowandilla Community Room is proud to offer a rotating program of exhibitions showcasing local creativity and community spirit. All exhibition listings are available in the seasonal Connection Points Guide.
