  • Hall A and Hall B cannot be booked at the same time to alternate groups.

Please do not proceed with any booking application if you are uncertain about any of the terms and conditions or suitability of the venue.

Once received, booking applications are processed and if approved by our staff your booking is then confirmed. Requests to cancel bookings after staff confirmation will incur a $75 administration fee.

  • We do not take any tentative bookings.
  • To make a booking you must be more than 18 years of age.
  • Please provide us with 2 weeks advance notice when requesting a booking date.
  • Requests to cancel bookings after staff confirmation will incur a $75 administration fee.

Online application

To apply online for a booking date please complete and submit the Thebarton Community Centre application form.

Please complete the Community Facility Hire - Third-party providers service form if your activity or event includes the use of any professional service providers. Note: service providers may include catering services including food trucks/ jumping castles or other amusements). 

Book your induction

After you receive confirmation of your booking, you can then book your induction by completing and submitting the Community Centre Induction form prior to your event date.

COVID Safe plan lodgement

If you have completed a Voluntary COVID-Safe Plan please submit a copy via the Community Centres - voluntary plans form.

If you have completed a Defined Public Activity COVID-Safe Plan please submit a copy, including your COVID Marshal Certificate, via the Community Centres - defined public activity plans form.

Prices for hiring the Centre vary. You may also be required to pay a refundable bond depending on your event.

Please note: All hires from 5pm Friday until 8am Monday are considered private hire and the appropriate fee will apply. Requests to waive fees will not be considered.

Photographic and video permission

In order to help us provide more comprehensive hiring information about the Centre to our community and clients, we'd like permission to photograph and/or video room set ups as examples. Some of these photographs will be provided to others hiring the facility; other photographs/footage may appear on the Thebarton Community Centre hiring section of Council's website and social media sites.

Take the hassle out of your next meeting by booking one of our catering packages.

If you are a regular hirer of the centre you will need to have public liability insurance to the minimum value of $20 million.
