'Where Shall We Travel Today' book launch

Where Shall We Travel Today? written by Kristin Martin, illustrated by Nicky Johnston and published by MidnightSun Publishing is a rhyming picture book for 3 to 8 year olds about the power of the imagination, of stories and of exploring the world together. The book will be launched by award winning author Beverley McWilliams. There will be books for sale and kids' craft activities, as well as light refreshments.

National Simultaneous Story Time

Every year in May, the Australian Library and Information Association organises National Simultaneous Story Time to support reading and literacy.

National Simultaneous Story Time aims to promote:

  • the value of books
  • Australian writers and publishers
  • activities in public libraries and communities around the country.

In 2025, National Simultaneous Story Time took place on Wednesday 21 May with the book 'The Truck Cat' by Deborah Frenkel.
