Rewire feature classes

The West Torrens Library Service offers a series of free, small group IT classes for beginners and intermediate users covering a range of topics in digital technologies. Classes are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays and are taught using Windows based computers and a range of mobile devices in the Library's Learning Centre.

Participants must be members of a South Australian public library and bookings are essential for all classes. Classes are free.

Did you know that with your Library membership you can access eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and online newspapers? Join us for a beginner’s class on how to set up and use Libby, BorrowBox and PressReader. Discover how to access a huge range of written and audio content.

Introduction to streaming

Have you been looking to get into streaming your favourite TV shows, movies and music? We can talk you through the basics to help get you started. This is an introductory session to some of the many streaming options out there. We will demonstrate the use of Kanopy, which you can access free with your library membership, as well as platforms such as YouTube and Spotify.

Video conferencing for beginners

Are you looking at how you can transition to working from home? Or are you interested in being able to chat face-to-face online with friends and family? We will show you the basics of how to use common video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
