Are you a friendly, caring and polite person who would enjoy assisting staff to set up activities designed to encourage social connections among older people?

Our Ageing Well volunteers support facilitators with set up and pack down of the venue and program, serve morning tea or pre-cooked lunches and provide extra social interaction and connection for residents to support them to join in group activities.

If you are an outgoing person who is happy to chat with attendees and help them feel included, we would love to hear from you!

To apply for this role you will need:

good customer service skills
to understand the needs of older people
ability to work in a team
ability to interact with a diverse range of people

You will also need to either have, or complete:

National Police Clearance
Working with Children check
Manual Handling certificate
Safe Food Handling certificate

All certificates and training can be provided by the City of West Torrens at no cost to the volunteer.
