Can't remember what you've read?

Can't remember what you've read? Wondering if you've seen that movie? 

You can now start recording your borrowing history. To opt-in to this handy new service, just log in to 'My Account' on the Library catalogue.

See the easy instructions here.

Note: opting-in cannot be done via the LibrariesSA app, however you will be able to view your borrowing history via the app once you have opted-in.

Auto-renewal of loans

What is auto-renewal of loans?

Your physical library loans are now extended automatically if no-one else has placed a hold on your items.

This service is a real time saver! An email will be sent to your registered email address to advise of the new due date or you can log in to the catalogue or use the LibrariesSA app to confirm due dates.

What if I want to manually renew the item myself?

You won't be able to renew the item yourself earlier than 3 days prior to items being due.

If you require a renewal earlier (e.g. holidaying, hospital etc.) then you will need to contact us.

How will I know if my items have been renewed?

We will send you one email to let you know the items that have been renewed and their new due dates, and for those which were unable to be renewed a courtesy reminder notice.

You can also log in to the catalogue or LibrariesSA app and check “My Account”.

Will I lose any days of my new loan period if my items are renewed earlier?

No. All renewals from now on will be from the due date of the item, not the date it is renewed, so you won’t lose any days that you were entitled to.

Are any collections excluded from being auto-renewed?

Yes, some collections are excluded. At West Torrens these collections include: Quick Reads, Quick Flicks and Book Club sets. Other SA libraries may also have some collections that are excluded.

How many times will my items be auto-renewed?

Eligible items will be extended twice.

What if my email address isn't registered in my library account?

Please let us know next time you're in the Library, send us an email at library@wtcc.sa.gov.au or call us on 8416 6228 and we'll add your email address to your account.
