Young Reader Program
To encourage literacy in the youth of South Australia, the West Torrens Library is excited to be participating in the Young Reader Program, brought to you by Palace Nova Cinemas.
How the Young Reader Program works
Open to all readers under 18.
- To earn stamps, participants simply borrow books using their own Under‑18 library card. (Books checked out on a caregiver’s card will not count toward stamps).
- After borrowing and enjoying their books, participants return them to West Torrens Library or Prospect Library during staffed hours. When returning books, participants show the completed book/s to a Library staff member.
- For every book read, participants receive one stamp on their stamp card. Stamp cards are available at both Prospect and West Torrens Libraries.
- Once all five boxes are stamped, participants can take their completed stamp card to Palace Nova cinema to redeem a double movie pass.
Terms and Conditions
- Movie passes valid for any session at all Palace Nova Cinemas locations, except on Saturday after 5pm, public holidays, special events, or films marked NFT (“No Free Tickets”).
- 3D surcharges apply.
- Film selection subject to change. Young Reader Program open to under 18s.
- Books must be checked out to the child's own library card.
- Books must be returned to Library staff during opening hours to receive the stamp.
