Birds in our Neighbourhood – from April 2026
As you make your way around the City of West Torrens, be sure to keep an eye out for the little pink roofed galleries - found in parks, along the river, near cafes and even in front of Hamra Library.
These Little Galleries have become a much loved part of the West Torrens landscape, exhibiting the works of talented artists themed around fascinating Westside Stories.
The latest Little Galleries exhibition is all about Birds in our Neighbourhood – each gallery exhibiting a collection of birds that have been seen locally to each gallery. See if you can spot (or hear) some.
Little Galleries
Little Galleries are exactly what they claim to be. A small space - 500 x 600mm gallery - for exhibitions of small art created by amazing artists.

HINT: They're hard to miss with their bright pink roofs drawing your attention.

About artist Susan Forby
Susan Forby is passionate about birds and appreciates the diversity of the birds in our neighbourhood. Using her own photographs, she loves to experiment, both digitally and manually, to create these artistic bird images.
Birds in our neighbourhood Susan’s images reflect some of the birds that live locally. Through her artworks she hopes to encourage people to take notice of the birds in their gardens, consider our impact and look at ways to help their survival.
