SALA subsidy scheme now open

The City of West Torrens is keen to support artists exhibiting in local venues by once again offering an exhibition registration subsidy scheme for SALA Festival 2026.

This scheme acknowledges the important role that artists and venues play in the cultural life of the council area. Subsidies for solo exhibitions of up to $145 (Earlybird price until 8 April 2026) or up to $185 (until 6 May 2026) and group exhibitions up to $250 are available to assist artists and venues with the cost of registering for the SALA Festival.

Subsidies will be provided to successful applicants who are:

  • Artists who are exhibiting in a venue in the City of West Torrens

This subsidy scheme is only available for costs associated with registrations for SALA Festival 2026.

The closing date for applications will be 6 May 2026. Exact allocation of subsidies will be dependent upon the number of applications received; the total grant pool is $3,300.

To apply for the SALA Subsidy artists must:

  1. Register for SALA Festival 2026 via the online form, before the SALA deadline (midnight 6 May 2026).

  2. Pay the relevant fee to SALA.

  3. Complete this form by no later than Wednesday 6 May 2026.

Applications will be dated in order of receipt, and no correspondence will be entered into.
