We're delighted to announce the return of a true South Australian Christmas classic!

The Riverbank Christmas Display is a festive feast for the senses that continues to unite generations in the spirit of Christmas.

The Riverbank Christmas Display in Southwark (formerly Thebarton) has been capturing hearts since 1959. Don’t miss your chance to experience this beloved holiday tradition with enchanting displays - including Santa and his reindeers, Jack in the box, Vulcan's volcano, the Ferris wheel, the Nativity inn and, of course, Moby the whale.

Mark your calendars, we'll be lighting up the display on Saturday 22 November 2025 from 5pm.

2025 operating hours

The first night of the display will be Saturday 22 November from 5pm.

Operating hours after this will be:

  • Sunday - Thursday: 3pm - 11pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 3pm - midnight

The final night of the Display will be Friday 2 January 2026.
