Come along and celebrate Nature Festival in West Torrens with free activities for all ages, that encourage children, families, young people and adults to connect with nature.
Join us between 25 September and 11 October for a jam-packed program of hands-on events, including nature play, mud kitchens, pot painting, seed bombs, portable gardens and so much more.
Create your own portable garden to bring more beauty, greenery and biodiversity into your space, even if you rent or do not have access to a backyard.
Time: 11am - 2pm.
Location: West Torrens Library, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Age: Between 17 and 30 years.

Be guided by an occupational therapist from Play Naturally for a playful, family-friendly adventure in nature.
Time: 10am - 12noon.
Location: West Torrens Memorial Gardens, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Age: Suitable for all ages.
Head into the Library for some nature themed crafty fun with the crew from On the Flip Side. No bookings required.
Time: 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Age: Suitable for 5 to 12 years.

Experience a special story time in the Netley Community Garden. Families can enjoy a relaxed morning of stories, songs and nature play with Mel and Pamela, surrounded by the sights, sounds and textures of the garden.
Time: 10.30am - 11.30am.
Location: Netley Community Garden, Beare Avenue, Netley.
Age: Suitable for preschool-aged children and their caregivers.
Get messy with Climbing Tree’s mud kitchen. This playful activity encourages children to mix, pour, scoop and stir their own muddy creations.
Age: Between 2 and 8 years.
Come along for a friendly bus tour of 4 community garden sites. Discover how these spaces bring people together through gardening, food, nature and shared learning.
Time: 8.30am - 12noon.
Location: Leaving from West Torrens Library, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Age: Suitable for adults 18 years and over.
Enjoy a gentle sensory nature play session designed for little ones and their grown-ups. Children can explore natural textures, colours, sounds and materials through hands-on play.
Join an occupational therapist from Play Naturally OT for a relaxed art and nature session. Take part in sensory activities that help you create art with nature and notice art in nature.
Age: Suitable for 13 years and over.
Join garden designer, educator and biodiversity expert Monina Gilbey for a creative workshop on growing seedlings. Design and paint your own terracotta pot, then plant an edible seed bowl using seedlings.
Time: 1pm - 3pm.
