Lost and found animals
Our Community Safety Officers are on call from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week (including public holidays) and can be contacted during this time for any securely confined dogs, to reclaim an impounded dog or backyard burning concerns.
If you find a stray dog after 8pm, consider sharing a photo on social media 'lost dog' pages, taking it to a 24-hour veterinary clinic for microchip scanning, or if you can safely contain the dog overnight, you can contact council at 8am the following day.
Any animal welfare concerns must be reported to the RSCPA either online or by phoning 1300 477 722.
