Summer Festival 24 January - All Together Now

We encourage patrons to use public transport, carpool or walk where possible. Please note that there will be some changed traffic conditions in this area.

For those driving, there will be 3 car parks available:

1. Northern carpark at Weigall Oval - enter via Oval Terrace
2. Southern carpark at Weigall Oval - enter via Urrbrae Terrace. This will have 12 parks restricted for those with a Disability Parking Permit.
3. Temporary carpark on the grassed area between Birdwood Terrace and McArthur Avenue. This carpark will be operational between 5pm and 10pm. At 10pm, the carpark will close. This carpark will be located on grass but has a sealed path on the eastern perimeter. The path leads pedestrians across a road and to the event site.

Disability Access Parking will be located in the Southern carpark (enter via Urrbrae Terrace). Please find further parking information above.

Site

This event will take place outdoors on grass. There is a path around the perimeter of the site (varying between sealed and unsealed) which provides access to the toilets, tennis courts, playground, permanent carparks and facility.

There will be temporary toilets brought in for the event. Images of the toilet types can be found here(PDF, 123KB).

There will be access to indoor space within the Apex Park Community Facility.

Event activities

This event will include live, amplified music with sets from approx. 5.30pm - 9.30pm.

There will be a range of children's entertainment at this event. Further information on some activities is below:

• There will be 5 inflatables: 2 slides, 1 castle and 2 'activities'. The 2 activities do not require any climbing - one is a 'hoop shoot' activity (see video: 3 Play Sports) and the other is an interactive touch game (see video: The Arena IPS).
• Nylon Zoo lead an interactive story time inside giant inflatable creature with costumes and parade.
• Circobats provide an aerial rig for children to try out.
• Climbing Tree and PLAI provide equipment for free play.
• Dig A Dino facilitates a ball pit and giant dinosaur puzzles.
