Community bus tour: Kandahar historic house

Built c1900 on land owned by Captain Morish’, ‘Kandahar’ was a belated wedding present to his daughter Mary. The house was designed by Edward Davies, notable South Australia architect, who lived at ‘Nesfield’ a little further south along Marion Road. Take a look around Kandahar, learn it’s history and enjoy morning tea with the West Torrens Historical Society.

Bus pick up for all history tours:

• 9.30am Weigall Oval.

• 9.45am West Torrens Library

Cost for all tours: $5 bus donation. Light refreshments provided.
