Prevent falls and harm from falling

The University of Adelaide is searching for people aged 65 years and over to take part in a judo-based exercise study to prevent falls and harm from falling.

Participants must be willing to participate in a study which examines the feasibility and effects of a judo-based exercise program on balance, physical function and fear of falling.

You are eligible to take part in the study if you are:

  • aged 65 years or older
  • living at home (or in an independent living unit)
  • willing to participate in a judo-based exercise program, including two centre-based exercise sessions per week in Thebarton.

The study period is eight weeks and starts in September.
