Council will be undertaking some much-needed upgrade works to the West Torrens Dog Park starting mid-March. When complete, the park will provide dog owners with a refreshed facility as we'll be relaying turf, installing a new shelter and agility equipment (small dogs area), mulching garden beds and undertaking tree maintenance.

During the proposed work times, we will be closing the park to users, however we will only be closing one section at a time to continue to provide this service to dog owners who use the facility.

Closures

The 'all dogs' section will be closed on Monday 15 March 2021 and is scheduled to reopen on Friday 9 April 2021. During this time, dog owners will be able to use the 'small dogs' section to exercise their canine friends off-leash.

The 'small dogs' section will then be closed on Friday 9 April 2021 and is scheduled to reopen on Friday 30 April 2021, so dog owners will be able to use the 'all dogs' section during this time. The entire park is planned to be reopened on Saturday 1 May 2021.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause as we know that the park is a widely used and popular facility. Dog owners can also use Pooch Park, located at Tedder Reserve, Flinders Park.
