Faces of West Torrens - help us build an exhibition

We are building an exhibition of faces with the community as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival from 17 Feb - 19 March 2023. Read below to see how you can get involved.
Box face
Come and draw a face on a box at the Summer Festival, Kings Fork event on Saturday 11 February - we will then cut out faces and use in the exhibition.
Workshops
Book into one of the following workshops in the West Torrens Auditorium Gallery to create a Portrait/Face artwork.
Paint a portrait
Saturday 18 February - 10am - 12 noon
Join 2022 West Torrens Art Prize winner, Rachel Scholich, for a two hour workshop of painting portraits for Fringe exhibition.

Print a portrait
Saturday 4 March - 10am - 12 noon
Join print artist, Mary Pulford and learn how to create a printed portrait, using unique Cardboard Dry Printing techniques.

Collage a portrait
Saturday 4 March - 1 - 3.30pm
Join illustrator, designer Elle Dawson-Scott and learn how to create a detailed collage portrait using new and vintage paper.

Other activities
- A self portrait station will be set up during the exhibition inviting you to look into the mirror and create a drawing of yourself to add to the exhibition.
- Our Youth, Digital and Active Ageing teams will run workshops with their communities to add more fun artworks to the mix over the month of the exhibition.
- Watch the exhibition grow with diverse, colourful art styles over the month of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
