West Torrens Library Service offers free tech help for computer and mobile technology users. Participants can make a half hour one-to-one appointment with one of our volunteers or register for a drop-in session with a staff member and receive assistance on most IT related topics. Tech help sessions are scheduled on:

 
 Mondays    2.00pm -   4.00pm One-to-one 
 Thursdays  10.00am - 12.00pm One-to-one 
 Fridays    1.00pm -   4.00pm*  Drop-in
 Saturdays  10.00am -   1.00pm*  Drop-in

*Friday and Saturday sessions run during school terms only.

 

Sessions are held in the library's Learning Centre on Windows based computers and a range of mobile devices. Alternatively, participants can bring their personal laptop or mobile device.

Participants must be members of a South Australian Public Library and bookings are essential for all classes. This service is free.

Rewire classes

 

The West Torrens Library Service offers a series of free, small group IT classes for beginners and intermediate users covering a range of topics in digital technologies. Classes are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays and are taught using Windows based computers and a range of mobile devices in the library's Learning Centre.

Participants must be members of a South Australian Public Library and bookings are essential for all classes. Classes are free.

Get to know Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows 10, and navigate your PC with ease! This class will familiarise you with Microsoft edge, the Microsoft store, and Cortana.

 

Discovering eBooks and digital content

Discover how to access the library's collection of eBooks and eMagazines via the Libby and RBdigital apps. Learn how to effectively search for electronic resources, place holds, download and return.

 

Email tips and tricks

Stay in touch by learning about email. This class will introduce you to web based email. Learn how to send and receive emails, add attachments, and create contacts with confidence.
