Get with the program

Our school holiday program runs during every school holidays offering a variety of free fun activities.

  • Parents and caregivers must stay with their children during these sessions.
  • The program is available approximately two weeks before the holidays begin.


National Simultaneous Story Time

Every year in May the Australian Library and Information Association organises National Simultaneous Story Time to support reading and literacy.

National Simultaneous Story Time aims to promote:

  • the value of books
  • Australian writers and publishers

  • activities in public libraries and communities around the country.

In 2018, National Simultaneous Story Time will be celebrated on Wednesday 23 May 2018 at 10.30am, and we will be sharing 'Hickory Dickory Dash' by Tony Wilson and Laura Wood.

Book Week

In August every year schools and public libraries all over Australia enjoy a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators.

The theme for 2018 is 'Find your treasure'.

Summer Reading Club

The Summer Reading Club is a free school holiday program for children and youth, that runs in December and January each year.

More information will be available closer to the start of the Club.
