Toy and sports collection

Toys, games and sporting equipment for all ages are available for loan. All library members can borrow sporting equipment, however, borrowing toys, jigsaws and board games are limited to adult members. Please note: these items cannot be reserved. 

These collections cannot be returned to another public library; please return them to the Hamra Centre Library during opening hours. Items need to be returned inside the Library (they cannot be returned through the external returns chute). 

Membership is free. Join the Library today.

Toys

The library has a range of toys to support learning and play for children 0 - 5 years of age. Toys are available in the following developmental areas:

  • speech, language and reading
  • maths, science and music
  • sensory, motor and perceptual.

Loan conditions:

  • four toys per adult membership
  • two week loan period
  • two renewals are possible on eligible items.

Sporting equipment

The library has a range of sporting equipment and outdoor games to encourage and aid health and fitness. Equipment includes:

  • outdoor play equipment
  • beach and pool games
  • nature kits
  • sporting equipment.

  • four sport items per library membership
  • two week loan period
  • two renewals are possible on eligible items.

Board games

Fun and challenging board games for the whole family to enjoy.

Classic games include:

  • Scrabble
  • playing cards
  • Trivial Pursuit
  • Chess
  • Monopoly.

New favourites include:

  • Sushi Go!
  • Ticket to ride Europe
  • Sequence.

A range of up to 3,000 piece puzzles for all ages.
