Rainwater tank rebates

Residential Rainwater Tank and Rain Garden Rebates provide an opportunity for local residents to receive a rebate on the cost of a new rainwater tank or a planter box rain garden. For new developments or extensions, an additional rebate is also available for rainwater tanks that are plumbed into at least two of the following:

  • Toilets
  • Water heater
  • All cold water outlets in the laundry of the home.

Native Plant Giveaway

Each year council provides a limited number of free native plants to local residents to promote biodiversity in urban gardens.  Plants packs are distributed at an event around June each year.

Significant and Regulated Tree Assistance Rebate

The City of West Torrens is currently providing a Significant and Regulated Tree Assistance Rebate from 12 August 2022 to 30 June 2023. The rebate provides financial assistance for property owners/rate payers to take action that helps maintain their Significant/ Regulated tree.

Tree Incentive Rebate

The City of West Torrens is currently providing a Tree Incentive Rebate from 12 August 2022 to 30 June 2023. The rebate provides an opportunity for property owners (and tenants) to receive a rebate on the purchase and planting of a shady tree to enhance shading and cooling of the private realm in West Torrens.
