Free school holiday fun this Summer!

Looking for something to do these school holidays? We have heaps of fun things to do for all ages.

Please note: 
Some activities require bookings and/or consent forms. Booking can be accessed through the Eventbrite links under the event descriptions (where applicable).

Children 9 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer who is a responsible person of at least 16 years of age. 

Youth (10 years and over) must have completed consent forms before taking part in any of these events. Download consent forms and return to Council's Youth Officers.

Most events are accessible for people with disability, however please discuss your access needs before booking a program.

Youth Expo

Registations now open for schools and groups. Free food, fun activities, information stalls and performances.

Ages:  10 – 17 years.

Venue: Titanium Security Arena, 44A Crittenden Road, Findon.

Friday 13 April

Create with clay

Join us in celebrating the start of Youth Week. Maria from Mindful Art will teach you how to work with clay and create a piece to take home.

Baby Disco

Slinky, squishy, fluffy SLIME! Come and learn how to make your own slime to take home… and guess what mum and dad? No mess!

Come and explore our table of interactive resources on the topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. Read a story, learn more about a topic and borrow to read throughout the holidays.

Crumbs Healthy Energy Foods

Learn to make veggie chips, green smoothies and other healthy snacks. Remember to wear closed shoes!

Ages: 10 - 17 years.

Venue: Plympton Community Centre 34 Long Street, Plympton.

Time: 2.30pm – 4.30pm

If transport is required meet in the Hamra Centre Library foyer, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton at 2pm; returning to the Library at 5pm.

Little Sports Day Out

Participate in a variety of exciting, challenging and popular sports and games provided by Active Education, Basketball SA, State Soccer, and Millswood Tennis Centre. Bring your hat, sunscreen, water and sneakers as we are going to keep you moving. *Don’t forget to check our inclement weather policy on the back page!

Minecraft

Learn to craft, explore new worlds with friends and mine to your heart’s content. Parents stay in the library, enjoy  a book or join in with the kids and learn the craft!

Little Day In STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with Art!

Explore your inner designer, architect, engineer, builder, scientist or artist through a range of activities. We supply the LEGO™, crafts and games, you supply the brains!

Everything Pokémon!

Come and meet Pokémon Youtube channel star, Ando aka Unlisted Leaf. Learn the card game with a Gametraders facilitator. Remember to bring your own 60 card deck (a mix of Pokémon, energy and trainer cards) so you can play. Stay for the Pokémon GO lures in our Memorial Gardens.
