Frozen pomegranate recall

Published on Wednesday 09 May 2018

SA Health is reminding the public not to consume 180g Creative Gourmet frozen pomegranate arils purchased from Coles following two cases of hepatitis A in SA potentially linked to the recalled product.

Dr Fay Jenkins, SA Health, said while the recall had been in place for sometime that people may still have the item in their freezer.

"We know frozen goods, in particular foods like berries and pomegranate, can stay in people's freezers for many months following their purchase," Dr Jenkins said.

"We ask that consumers check their freezers and dispose of the Creative Gourmet frozen pomegranate packets with any best-before date of up to 21 March 2020, or return them to Coles for a full refund."
