Employer guide to COVID-19
If you're a local business that is still trading through COVID-19, you can join 'Still here'; a free resource to help our community continue to do business during this time. It's a great way to let the community know that you're around and still operating.
Tourism and hospitality training
The South Australian Tourism Commission has launched a new training program for the tourism and hospitality sector to help the sector prepare for recovery post COVID-19.
The free 30 minute training course can be accessed here
The training course was developed in partnership with South Australian-based Health Safety Environment Australia (HSEA), and in liaison with SA Health. It is not an accreditation course for businesses - it is a simple awareness course designed to help individuals understand the basics to assist them in adapting to a COVID-Safe way of operating.
Building a better Western Adelaide
For the past few years, our Council has been working in collaboration with the Cities of Charles Sturt, Holdfast Bay and Port Adelaide Enfield as part of the 'Building Western Adelaide Alliance' for economic development matters.
The four councils, together with local businesses across the region, share a commitment to the growth and success of the Western Adelaide economy. The ultimate objective is to work towards the delivery of economic development as a region.
Western Business Leaders
As part of the Alliance, the Western Business Leaders was formed to enable local businesses the chance to connect with councils, and each other, to highlight concerns and develop solutions for the western business community.
Western Business Leaders is open to all businesses based in the Western Adelaide region. Businesses beyond the region that have a vested interest in the economic growth of Western Adelaide are also encouraged to be involved.
