Do you have a regular issue with vehicles parking in front of your wheelie bin on collection day?
Council is currently trialling 'no parking' stickers on wheelie bins to help try and deter drivers from parking their vehicles in front of bins on collection days.
The stickers, which ask people not to park within one metre of the bin on collection day, are advisory only and cannot be enforced. However, it is hoped that the message may remind people not to park in front of bins as this can cause issues with waste collection and, sometimes, non-collection as the bin is not easily accessible.
If you are a resident that has regular issues with vehicles obstructing your bin for collection, then we'd like you to take part in this trial.
All you need to do is contact us with your details and we can send you a sticker and information about placing this on your bin. We'll also send you a 'diary' to track the days that you experience issues and ask that you provide this to us at the end of the six month trial period.
