What do you think our local community needs into the future? Should we be planning for more resilience to our changing climate? Do we need more open space? Are the programs and services we provide for our residents sufficient? Should we be building our capacity as a community in the event of an emergency or natural disaster?
Council is currently undertaking a ‘Community Needs’ study and we are looking for as much input from our community as possible to help us discover what is important now and in the future.
The study will consider a range of changes society is currently experiencing, as well as new approaches to service provision and emerging technologies. It will consider the impacts that these, and many other changes, will have on our West Torrens’ community and as a result will help guide Council when planning and providing infrastructure, programs, activities, services and facilities.
During the study, which is expected to be completed by mid-2019, Council and consultancy firm Intermethod will be engaging with the community via workshops, surveys and at public events. As such, we’re hoping as many people in our community will provide us with opinions and ideas to help us understand priorities and issues that we’ll need to consider when planning for the future.
One way to be involved in the study is by taking part in a community survey.
The survey, needs to be completed by 15 March 2019. By completing the survey you could win one of five $50 vouchers to spend locally.
