Parking permits are available by application for :

  • residential parking
  • business parking
  • temporary parking
  • community service parking
  • visitor parking (vouchers)
  • parking exemptions (last minute/short-term only).

Residential Parking

Fee: Yes
Description:

For residents to park on the street contrary to time limited zones (eg 1P, 2P, 4P).

Excludes 1/4P and 1/2P zones and prohibited parking areas such as No Stopping Zones, Bicycle Lanes, Clearways.

Other information:

Available for one or two years.

One parking permit per property unless Council assessment shows inadequate off-street parking to park residential vehicles, in which case one additional permit may be issued.

Business Parking

Fee: Yes
Description:

For businesses to park on the street contrary to time limited zones (eg 1P, 2P, 4P).

Excludes 1/4P and 1/2P zones and prohibited parking areas such as No Stopping Zones, Bicycle Lanes, Clearways.

Other information:

One permit per business.

Available for one or two years.

Permits are transferrable (not vehicle specific).

Permits are street specific.

Temporary parking

Fee: No
Description:

For residents who need parking for contractors and visiting family members where off street parking is not available.

timed parking restrictions have been installed e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P.

For businesses and individuals providing in home care to residents located in time limited areas e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P.

Excludes 1/4P and 1/2P zones and prohibited parking areas such as No Stopping Zones, Bicycle Lanes, Clearways.

Other information:

Valid for one year only.

Visitor vouchers

Description:

(12 vouchers per calendar year)

For residents to give to visiting family members or friends for parking in time limited areas 1P, 2P, 3P.

Excludes 1/4P and 1/2P zones and prohibited parking areas such as No Stopping Zones, Bicycle Lanes, Clearways.

Description: Available to meet last minute short-term parking needs for tradespeople/visitors.
Other information:

Council must be advised one full day prior to exemption being required.
