The Home Library is a friendly and personalised service provided to local residents who are not able to attend the library due to illness, disability or frailty. This service has been expanded to include those residents who are vulnerable and isolated due to COVID-19. If you are unable to use our 'Click, call and collect' service, please contact us on 8416 6228 to see if you are eligible for our Home Library Service.
How it works
A Home Library staff member will call you to discuss your interests and needs. The staff member then selects a range of items to suit your tastes. At the next visit these items are then swapped over.
Some clients use the service on a temporary basis (during illness) and others take part on an ongoing basis.
You can borrow the following items using the Home Library Service:
- large print and regular books
- fiction and non-fiction books
- audio books
- items in community languages
- jigsaw puzzles
- CDs and DVDs.
Email the Library or call 8416 6260.
