Personal computers and laptops
We have a range of personal computers and laptops available for public use in the Library.
Most computers initially offer a 55 min session (if unavailable then you may be offered a shorter session), with Express PCs allowing 15 mins. Only one session per day may be booked at a time. You may book up to 8 days in advance.
Bookings can be made by calling us 8416 6228 or in person using the self-booking station. You can also walk up and use any available PC by logging in with your Library barcode number and PIN.
Both the PCs and laptops will allow extensions if no-one else requires them, and you can have up to 3 hours computer usage per day. You must be over 18 with additional ID (preferably a driver's licence) to book a laptop.
Children under the age of 18 are required to have authorisation from their parent/legal guardian before access is granted to use our computers. As the computers are for general public use, parents and guardians should be mindful of information being accessed by children, including online gaming.
Please note: to access the personal computers or laptops your library account must be in good standing (no overdue material fees or fines over $30.00). Also, if you are 15 minutes late for your booking, your session will be automatically cancelled.
Our computers and laptops have internet access, are running Windows 10 and include software programs such as:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Publisher
- Acrobat Reader
- VLC Media Player
- Google Chrome
- Internet Explorer
