Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

The City of West Torrens Home Support Programme provides essential services and support to help eligible people remain living independently in their own home for as long as they wish to do so.

The program is designed for residents who are over 65yrs (50yrs for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people), younger residents with a disability and/or carers.

Existing Clients

Our valued clients who already receive services from City of West Torrens will continue to do so with the same level of support you currently receive, including carers over the age of 65.

New Clients

As of 1 July 2015, following the implementation of the new Commonwealth My Aged Care Programme, screening for new clients over the age of 65yrs (50yrs for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders) will be carried out by a central point of contact at www.myagedcare.gov.au  or by calling the My Aged Care Information line on  1800 200 422

The City of West Torrens Community Care team can assist you with your application and send a referral on your behalf, if needed.  We will then able to discuss with you the home care services you require.  Please call 08 8416 6251 or email: hassist@wtcc.sa.gov.au
