On October 3 2013 West Torrens Library Service joined the SA public library ‘one card’ network.
What is it?
The ‘one card’ network connects more than 130 public libraries across SA and enables West Torrens Library members to borrow and return items wherever they are with their current library card. It gives West Torrens Library members the convenience of being able to access other libraries around SA and borrow and return items when they’re travelling or simply out and about. Carrying multiple library cards will become a thing of the past!

What can members access?
The new service gives members 24/7 access to an online catalogue where millions of books, DVDs, CDs and magazines in libraries across SA can be looked up and reserved with a click, either from home or in the library.
West Torrens Library customers can now choose from millions of books, DVDs, CDs and magazines. People love to have choice and this is what the new system delivers. When items become available, they will be delivered to the West Torrens Library for collection or other libraries that members nominate.
Will all libraries on the new network now offer the same services as each other?
As libraries are committed to meeting the particular needs of their local communities, some libraries may continue to offer different services that complement core library services (e.g. certain online resources). Check with the relevant library to find out what’s available to you.
