What are Little Libraries?
Various Little Free Libraries are being installed in places such as playgrounds, parks, shopping centres, near schools and child care centres around West Torrens. The ‘little library’ is a simple book swap concept - they are filled with books so that anyone can stop by and collect a book or two, providing they replace the ones that they take with other books.
The installation of Little Free Libraries encourages an interest in reading by making books more accessible in different locations in the community.
The Lions Club of Richmond Inc provided the funds to construct the Little Free Libraries and the Camden Community Centre Men's Shed has undertaken their manufacture in a number of different designs.
If you have questions or concerns about any of the Little Free Libraries, please phone 8416 6333.
