Doing business with the City of West Torrens

The City of West Torrens (CWT) strongly supports creating local business opportunities and removing barriers associated with council purchasing and tendering.

Understanding how to become a supplier for local government can be daunting. There are various rules and regulations and it is important to appreciate how decisions are made.

Procurement is simply purchasing products, services and works and our aim is to obtain the best value for money in a way that is fair and transparent.

CWT purchases many goods - heavy vehicles, office equipment, library books - and services such as road and footpath construction, maintenance of buildings, parks and playgrounds, professional services, utilities and much more.  We work with hundreds of external suppliers, contractors and businesses each year.
