SA Police is once again conducting a firearm amnesty so people who have guns that are unregistered can hand them in without fear of prosecution.

People who have registered firearms that they no longer wish to keep or need can also hand them over.

The aim of the amnesty is to improve public safety by reducing the number of unregistered firearms in Australia.

While this is a national campaign, there are several nearby drop off points in Adelaide, Hindmarsh and Woodville.

More information and drop off points can be found through the SA Firearms Amnesty website
