Development approval for satellite dishes

You need development approval to build or alter a satellite dish if any of the following applies:

  • the site is listed as a heritage place as outlined in the West Torrens  Council Development Plan
  • the diameter of the dish exceeds

1.2 meters in a Residential Zone or Historic Conservation Area
2.6 metres if it’s not in a Residential Zone or Historic Conservation Area.

If none of these apply to your satellite dish you don’t need development approval.
